Our client, one of Australia's leading manufacturers of roll formed steel building products, have an exciting opportunity for Machine Operators to join their well-established team in their on a casual basis located in Maddington.

This role offers a morning shift: 6am – 2.06pm or an afternoon shift: 1.54pm - 10pm, Monday - Friday on competitive hourly rate of $34.68 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) + penalty rates for afternoon shift!

This opportunity involves but are not limited to the duties below:

  • Manual handling of Sheetmetal product, lengths can be anywhere from 1m – 3m long, not overly heavy but can be awkward lengths.
  • Products can include flashings, cladding, steel coils.
  • Will receive training in using overhead crane to load steel coils onto machines
  • Offside machine – manually remove products from end of production line and place into racking/storage.
  • Ensure machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output.

To be successful in a role with Programmed you must possess the following:

  • Forklift licence desirable
  • Experience as a machine operator
  • Experience within steel/metal distribution or manufacturing (desirable)
  • Be available for an immediate start
  • Have a current National Police Clearance valid within 3 months, or be able to obtain one
  • Able to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screen
